Katt Williams, Suge Knight Arrested In L.A.

LOS ANGELES (AP) — Suge Knight and comedian Katt Williams were arrested and charged with robbery Wednesday after a celebrity photographer reported the men stole her camera last month.

Prosecutors say Williams and Knight, who founded Death Row Records, were arrested Wednesday. Knight has a prior conviction for assault with a deadly weapon and could face up to 30 years in prison if convicted.

The men are accused of taking a paparazzo's camera in Beverly Hills, California, on Sept. 5. The incident remains under investigation by Beverly Hills police, who did not immediately return a phone message seeking comment. Williams, who was arrested at a Los Angeles-area courthouse when he appeared for an arraignment in a separate assault case, faces up to seven years in prison if convicted.

Knight, 49, was arrested in Las Vegas. Police said he was taken into custody without incident.

A phone message for Anthony Brooklier, an attorney who has represented Knight, was not immediately returned. An email message sent to Williams' agent, Chris Smith, was not immediately returned.

Williams, 43, has starred in several comedy specials and appeared in films such as "First Sunday" and "Friday After Next." Knight was shot and wounded in a West Hollywood, California, nightclub about a week and a half before the incident with the photographer. He founded Death Row Records, one of rap's leading labels in the 1990s, but later declared bankruptcy and the company was auctioned off.

Bill Cosby Accused of Rape and Manipulation by Woman

Bill Cosby
Reports of comedian Bill Cosby taking sexual liberties and more with ladies over the years is not exactly new news. In fact, 13 women have accused Cosby of rape from the 1970s into the 2000s, but keep in mind that he's never been charged.

However, in the wake of another comedian, Hannibal Burress, straight up calling the one- time Jello spokesman a rapist in his comedy routine, one of the women who says Cosby violated her recently spoke out about her dealings with him.

In an extensive interview with the Daily Mail/Mail Online, Barbara Bowman said Cosby began manipulating her when she was a 17-year-old model in Denver, Colorado. She said the famed funnyman would fly her to meet him at his comedy gigs across the country, convincing her to treat him like he was her father, Bowman claims.

Here's some of her quotes: •

"He is a monster. He came at me like a monster. My hope is that others who have experienced sexual abuse will not be intimidated into silence by the famous, rich and powerful. If I can help one victim, then I've done my job." •"

He wanted me to act completely drunk, wasted, while he stood behind me and stroked my neck and upper chest. He didn't touch me beyond that, on that day, but that's where it certainly started." •

"Bill used to tell me that he was my father figure and that I needed to trust him as a father, 100 percent. Then he'd drug me and attack me. I was to afraid to talk back." •

"I never took shut up money. My motivation to speak now is to expose Bill Cosby as the animal that he is. He went after me in that hotel room like an animal with such sexual prowess and force that he couldn't control himself. And at 19-years-old, I knew it would be the last time he would ever get the chance to hurt me this way again."

•"By the time I was drugged and raped by him in New York, he'd already broken me down, brainwashed me and made me feel like there was something wrong with me if I resisted his sexual advances.

" As we said, Barbara Bowman's interview is quite extensive and some will find a lot of what she describes as disturbing.

Gospel Singer Kurt Carr's Identity Stolen by Cyber Scam Artist

Gospel artist Kurt Carr is a victim of a cyber hoax. His identity was stolen by a scam artist through use of fake social media pages, email addresses and a Google voice number in order to contact fellow musicians, preachers, fans and promoters to steal money.

The scam artist even used Carr's identity to scam fans and church leaders with a private petition from an African charity, which doesn't exist.

He turned this information over to police investigators. He's been working with authorities to find out who is behind these scams.

"It is unbelievable to think that someone would attempt to use my identity to contact people in an effort to scam them. I am working with authorities to ensure that the scam artist is uncovered and faces the necessary consequences," he said.

Any contact from Carr that's not from his official Twitter, Facebook or Instagram accounts via @TheKurtCarr isn't real and should be reported as fraud immediately.

For Carr's personal friends and colleagues, he hasn't changed his phone number or email address. Any contact outside of these usual contacts are fraudulent as well.

Raven-Symone's Open Letter Response to 'Internet Bullying' Over Oprah Comments

*We're sure Raven-Symoné didn't expect the kind of trolling and downright internet bullying she's been getting ever since she spoke her mind to Oprah about race and being labeled.

If you recall, in the interview, Raven said she did not want to be labeled as gay, but simply as a person who loves humans. She also said she was tired of being labeled as an African-American. She stated she's an American… NOT an African-American.

In the wake of her comments, the one about being American and not African American, all hell seemingly broke loose. So much so that she issued a statement to try and clarify her what she meant: "I never said I wasn't black… I want to make that very clear. I said, I am not African-American.

I never expected my personal beliefs and comments to spark such emotion in people. I think it is only positive when we can openly discuss race and being labeled in America."

Apparently that statement hasn't done much good. Unfortunately for her, she's been getting it right and left from bullying trolls. To address the hurtful situation, Raven posted an open letter on her Facebook account:

I don't take offense to those that are mad at my personal opinion of myself. Like before, I'm glad there are conversations happening. Our generation tends to stay comfortable ,at times, with issues and topics that need to be addressed.

QUESTION: If we are taught not to repeat history by learning it. Why do we continue to repeat? We must not be learning it correctly.

What does irritate me is the bulling tone towards myself and other opinions in the blog. Keep your disrespectful, mean, hurtful, words in a diary for yourself. Personal attacking is not needed, and no matter what race, nationality, culture, or womb you came out of; strive for respect. Strive to be virtuous, so the conversation can lead to great things, other things.

Our ancestors of all races had the courage to stand up for what they believed in no matter what the fight. Back then I hope the motto wasn't…"the more haters the better"

We have reached a standstill in our progression as Humans. Let's have a floor of RESPECT, KINDNESS, OPENMINDED-nESS. Showing your disagreement with my personal comments by using language you were not allowed to use as a child is just.

My momma reads this, and so do others. #bully

We wish Raven-Symoné the best in dealing with this. Hopefully the online bullying will stop, but don't be surprised if it doesn't. So, we have to ask. What would YOU do if you were Raven?

Eddie Murphy To Replace Samuel L. Jackson In 'Cook'

Eddie Murphy will be returning to the big screen in his first major film since 2011's Tower Heist with the New Orleans-set dramedy, Cook.

Murphy has been taking a break from the entertainment industry, but since he's a huge box office heavyweight, he can afford to do that.

Nevertheless, one of the hardest working men in showbiz, Samuel L. Jackson, was once part of the project before having to detach himself (most likely for being so hard-working on other projects) and Murphy took over the role.

Cook is about a friendship among a young white girl, her dying mother and their African-American cook (Murphy) in New Orleans. Below is a synopsis of the film from Indiewire's Shadow and Act:

"Charlotte "Charlie" Brody is not pleased when Henry Joseph Church arrives at their modest home, at the request of Marie Brody's deceased lover, to serve as their cook."

The synopsis added, "Mr. Church made a solemn promise to Marie's former lover that he would take care of Marie for 6 months because Marie is dying of cancer. Young Charlotte has no idea that her mother is sick and refuses to warm up to the man who is suddenly an ever-present figure in her life."

It concluded with, "However, Mr Church's presence becomes far more important than Charlotte could ever imagine. Marie's mother lives another 6 years, and Mr. Church stays on to nurse Marie through her illness. Mr Church becomes a loving role model and lifelong friend to Charlotte, and to Charlotte's child, long after Marie dies.".

Driving Miss Daisy director Bruce Beresford will direct this film written by Susan McMartin, which is based on her own real-life story.

Kenya Moore Comes For Tamar Braxton

Chile, can we leave Tamar Braxton's edges alone… aren't they stressed enough? Oop, we tried it.

In today's catty news, Tamar visited Bravos' "Watch What Happens Live" on Sunday night, when a fan called into the show and asked her about Kenya Moore's music career. Tamar, who is known for being the queen of shade, responded "She sings?" Girl, we were thinking the same thing. Visions of Kenya twirling while mouthing the words "Gone With The Wind Fabulous" suddenly popped into our minds. Let's just say, we wouldn't exactly call what Kenya does singing. Anyhoo. Tamar attempted to clarify her comment. "No shade!

No shade," she said."I think I heard it in the club one time. I didn't know that was a serious record. OK well, I can't lie she's not my favorite. My favorite is NeNe. She's a great girl. Something about the thirst of it all. The pageant thing kind of reeks." Kenya didn't take kindly to Tamar's words and responded on Twitter.

Jennifer Hudson Won't Blame Fame for Breaking Up with Longtime Boyfriend

Jennifer Hudson may have fame on her side nowadays, but that isn't why the relationship with the man who previously captured her heart fell through.
According to the former "American Idol" contestant, it was something else that ended the romance.
"Yeah, I grew up with him… His name was James (see his photo below). We used to call him 'Bear, Bear,'" Hudson told "But he was my childhood sweetheart. He has a baby now. He moved to somewhere else. So that's all I know about him now. Yeah, we all grew up together." As for the exact reason her and James broke up, Hudson wouldn't go there. Instead she set the record straight on rumors of the split resulting from her newfound fame at the time.

"I think [him proposing if I won an Oscar] was a made up story at the time," said Hudson. "When we broke up, it wasn't the fame. I don't want to put his business out there. It ain't my place to tell. And maybe that's a part of the private side to Jennifer but I just like to give people their respect to be honest. And he's kind of like family to this day and I'm not going to put him on blast. I'm not going to do him like that."

Despite being tight-lipped regarding the cause of the split, Hudson did confess that she was the one who initiated the demise of the eight-year relationship.

"It was my choice [to breakup]. Definitely," she shared. "But it was nothing new or foreign like nothing out of the blue like he didn't know what was going on. It had nothing to do with my fame at all. It was not an issue pertaining to that." Fame may not have been the cause, but the singer understands that it can make having something with someone special more of a challenge.

"It is difficult with [this] type of lifestyle and being a strong woman and being in any type of relationship," Hudson stated. "Which I've eventually come to learn when dealing with people. Or males at times have issues when they are with a successful woman. Or even, it's weird. And I mean that in general. Across the board. It's something I've noticed in a lot of situations when it comes to successful women or strong women."

Stacey Dash: Blacks Are 'Uneducated' and 'Feel Worththless' Under Pres. Obama

Once again Stacey Dash fans the flames of controversy as she airs out her belief that President Barack Obama hasn't done much, if anything, to help minorities.

In Dash's eyes, the commander-in-chief has fallen way short.

"No, not at all," the "Clueless" star replied when asked if electing Obama had helped the minority community.

"It still keeps them stuck. They are getting money for free," Dash said during an appearance Tuesday on "Hannity." "They feel worthless. They are uneducated."

Obama wasn't Dash's only target. She also went in on Democrats, saying that feelings of worthlessness and being uneducated are actually the intention of the political party.

"I mean, as long as you are that way, they (Democrats) can keep you under their control," Dash told host Sean Hannity. Despite getting a chance to clarify what could easily come across as inflammatory remarks, noted that Dash stuck to her guns with claims that Democrats have a "plantation mentality" in thinking they can buy the minority vote in exchange for social and welfare services.

Needless to say, the Fox News guest commentator's comments did not go over well with some viewers as an instant backlash resulted online. While some people labeled Dash an "Uncle Tom," others chose more colorful language to voice their opinion of the entertainer.

Dash's remarks are the latest in a string of controversial happenings for her since she started working for Fox News about six months ago. Dash, a former Obama supporter, immediately started making her presence known when she ignited a strong online backlash upon tweeting an endorsement of GOP nominee Mitt Romney for president in October 2012. She continued to raise eyebrows with criticism for "Hollywood hypocrites" as well as questions raised regarding Jay Z and Beyoncé's trip to Cuba.

White House Threatened to Cut Off Tom Joyner Over Monica Lewinsky Joke is reporting that a White House aide considered cutting off radio legend Tom Joyner over a joke he made on-air about Monica Lewinksy during the handling of the Clinton and Lewinsky scandal.

The site reports:

At one point, White House officials considered cutting off talk radio host Tom Joyner for an off-color conversation on his show. While discussing Lewinsky's job prospects, Joyner had said: "You know what her qualifications are, she obviously has some skills she learned at the White House."

An aide emailed a transcript of the exchange to others in the West Wing with the opener: "I wanted you to see this. This is a transcript from 'Talk Daily.' Please keep this in mind the next time he asks for an interview."

Robert B. Johnson, a domestic policy aide, dismissed the suggestion. "I find some things said on his show distasteful too," Johnson said. "BUT, to be on our side when it counts. I would not be too hasty to pull the plug. He needs to be kept engaged for our message and for GORE. Politics baby!!!!!"

First Full Length Trailer for Lifetime's 'Aaliyah' Biopic [Watch]

Following a previous 15-second teaser, Lifetime has released a new full length trailer for its upcoming biopic, "Aaliyah: The Princess of R&B." The Wendy Williams production has moved forward against the family's wishes, but Williams reiterated this morning on "The View" that the film is "done tastefully" and she believes the late singer's relatives will be proud. Lifetime was unable to license an actual Aaliyah song for the trailer, because her family has blocked it. So producers for some reason turned to Iggy Azalea. Her song "Goddess" is featured in the promo over footage of Alexandra Shipp as Aaliyah. (The rapper did sample Aaliyah's "One in a Million" for her 2013 track "Backseat Trill S**t.") Scenes involving R. Kelly and Aaliyah's mom are also in the trailer.
